REGULATION SAN FRANCESCO MARATHON - 42K and 10K EDITION 2025

Life Running Assisi amateur sports society with limited liability, affiliated with the Italian Athletics Federation ("FIDAL") with code PG100 is organising in Assisi (Perugia) the road running event, San Francesco Marathon 2025 - 42K and 10k, included in the FIDAL National Calendar. The race will be held̀ Sunday 23 November 2025 with start at about 9:15 a.m. in Assisi and will take place in all weather conditions.

ATHLETE PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS:
In accordance with the 'Rules for the Organisation of Non-Stadia Events' issued by the FIDAL, athletes registered in Italy may participate only if they are 20 years of age or older (thousandth of age) for the Marathon and 16 years of age or older (thousandth of age) for the 10km and meet one of the following requirements

• Athletes registered for FIDAL affiliated clubs in 2025
• Italian and foreign athletes in possession of a Runcard (valid as sports insurance and permission to compete) and Athletes registered for a Sports Promotion Body (Athletics Section), in possession of Runcard-EPS, limited to persons aged 20 and over in possession of a valid medical certificate of specific agonistic fitness for athletics, which must be compulsorily delivered, also digitally, to the organising clubs of each event.
•  Italian/foreign athletes not registered in Italy in possession of membership of clubs affiliated to Foreign Athletics Federations recognised by World Athletics. At the time of registration, they must alternatively present self-certification of possession of the membership card recognised by World Athletics. The self-certification must then be signed in original when collecting the bib.
• Non-membership of foreign nationals: only non-membership of foreign nationals in the non-competitive section for tourism/sporting purposes may also be authorised in the competitive event, limited to persons aged 20 years (thousandth of age: 2005) and over. As pointed out in the explanatory note of the Ministry of Health of 17/06/2015 regarding the Ministry of Health Decree of 08/08/2014, foreign citizens are not required to present a medical certificate but will have to sign an indemnity (download and fill in the indemnity) towards the organisers. These participants will be entered in an alphabetical order of arrival separate from the rankings of the competitive event and will not be eligible for prizes in kind, cash, value vouchers, bonuses, engagements, reimbursement of expenses of any kind.

BIB AND RACE BAG COLLECTION
The race bib is personal and may not be given away or exchanged. It must be attached to the chest with four pins in such a way that it is fully visible: it cannot be folded and must remain intact.

The chip will be placed on the back of the bib and must not be removed under any circumstances, on pain of exclusion from the classification.

Bibs can be collected by club representatives or athletes at the EXPO MARATONA, whose location is at the Lyric Theatre, Via Gabriele d' Annunzio snc, Assisi (PG) on Thursday 20 November from 3pm to 7pm, Friday 21 November from 10am to 7pm and Saturday 22 November from 10am to 7pm.

Only for residents from outside the region will it be possible to collect the bib on the morning of the race until 8.15 a.m. at the start area

The event shirt is guaranteed to the first 800 registered for the marathon, the first 600 for competitive 10K and the first 300 for 10K NC.

Prizes in kind will also be awarded to the top five teams by number of participants in the 10k, and the 42k.

N.B. According to Article 38 of the Fidal Regulations, paragraphs 4, 5, 6:
"In road races on the National Calendar (Gold, Silver or Bronze), 25% of the prize money actually awarded to the first finishers is reserved for Italian and "equivalent Italian" athletes and can be cumulated with the prizes awarded for ranking position. Prizes for Italians may be reduced or cancelled according to the following chronometric parameters:

• Men's Marathon: The 25% prize money may not be awarded for performances over 2h30'00.
• Women's Marathon: The 25% prize money may not be awarded for performances over 2h55'00.

Any chronometric or other performance bonuses are additional to the prize money. The prizes provided for in paragraph 4) are to be paid in cash'.

In addition, prizes in the General Classification are reserved for all FIDAL-registered athletes or foreign federations affiliated with Word Athletics.

No cash prizes (or similar: generic value vouchers, bonuses, engagements, reimbursement of expenses of any kind and for any reason whatsoever) may be envisaged for 'Runcard' holders admitted to participate in FIDAL events.

The first three overall participants are excluded from the category classifications. Prize money and any bonuses will be paid (subject to anti-doping findings) by bank transfer within 60 days of the competition. Athletes are kindly requested to send a photocopy of an identity document, tax code and IBAN code for the issuing of the bank transfer, to the email address sfmsegreteria@kolorado.it

The prizes in each category consist of prizes of various kinds and must be collected on the day of the competition.

STARTING GRIDS
Any starting grids will be announced on the official website 10 (ten) days before the event.

BAGS DEPOSIT
Each participant will receive, together with the bib number, a sticker with their bib number to be attached to their personal belongings bag.
Facilities will be set up at the start area where participants, according to their bib number, can hand in their garment bags; these must be collected at the finish area by showing their bib number. Only official event bags will be accepted, and not personal bags of considerable bulk such as trolleys and/or suitcases. Drop-off in the DEPARTURE AREA: from 7.00 a.m. to 8.30 a.m.
The organisation is in no way responsible for items left inside the bags.

RISTORI
In accordance with the WORLD ATHLETICS / FIDAL regulations, refreshment stations are provided at the start, finish and every 5 km along the entire route: water, supplements and solid food will be available at all refreshment stations.

RESTROOMS
Public and chemical toilets will be available at the start and finish area.

MATCH ASSISTANTS
The organisation will provide, free of charge, several groups of race assistants ('pace makers'), clearly recognisable and in charge of running the marathon at a constant pace to arrive at the finish line in the following times: 3h15 - 3h30 - 3h45 - 4h00 - 4h15 - 4h30 - 4h45 - 5h00 - 5h30 - 6h00.

MAXIMUM TIME
The route will be closed to traffic for a maximum time of 6.30 hours. Athletes finishing the route after 6.30 hours will be considered out of the race.

VEHICLES ON ROUTE
On the race route, due to the Prefectural Ordinance, the transit of all vehicles including bicycles will be prohibited. Violators will be stopped and punished in accordance with the law.

MEDICAL ASSISTANCE - MASSAGE SERVICE
Ambulances and medical personnel are present at the start and finish areas and on the route. A massage service by specialised physiotherapists is provided.

WITHDRAWN ATHLETES
For those athletes who have to withdraw, all the refreshment stations will act as meeting points; from there they will be led to the finish area located in Piazza della Porziuncola, Santa Maria degli Angeli (Assisi) where they can collect their personal bags.

NON-PERFORMANCE
In the event of the race being cancelled due to force majeure beyond the organisation's control, including pandemics and natural events, including the withdrawal of authorisation to hold the race by the competent public bodies, and/or in the event of interruption, suspension of the race, no reimbursement will be due to participants in respect of the registration fee. The organisation reserves the right to verify the possibility of registration at a reduced fee for the next edition.

COMPLAINTS
Any complaints must be made in accordance with the FIDAL and R.T.I. rules.

DECLARATION OF LIABILITY
By signing the entry form, the competitor declares that he/she knows and accepts the regulations published on www.sanfrancescomarathon.it and that he/she is 20 years of age or older on 23.11.2025. He/she also expressly declares under his/her own responsibility not only that he/she is telling the truth, but also that he/she exonerates the organisers from all liability, both civil and criminal, for any damage and/or property caused by him/her.

PRIVACY

1. The personal data collected will be processed in compliance with the principles of correctness, lawfulness and transparency and the protection of your confidentiality and your rights. The data may be processed on paper and by means of automated filing in the computer system of LIFE RUNNING ASSISI ASD and KOLORADO SAS;
2. The provision of personal data is mandatory in order to benefit from the services provided by LIFE RUNNING ASSISI ASD AND KOLORADO SAS;
3. if the athlete has given his consent on the registration form, he may also receive information of a promotional nature from both the association and its partners;
4. if you have given your explicit consent on the registration form, you may see images published that depict you in the performance of your amateur sporting activities through the communication tools deemed functional by the association;
5.  the information acquired will be processed in compliance with the privacy regulations and will not be disclosed to third parties other than those in charge or responsible for processing the data, affiliating sporting bodies and CONI, except as specified in point 3 and without prejudice to the request from the judicial authorities, the Guardia di Finanza or other authorised public body;
6.  The legal system (Articles 12 - 22 of the GDPR) grants you a series of rights, including, by way of example, the right to obtain the updating, rectification or integration of your data, as well as their deletion, transformation into anonymous form or blocking if processed in breach of the law, and the right to object to the processing of your data for commercial or promotional purposes, for sending advertising material or for carrying out market research, and the right to lodge a complaint with the Privacy Guarantor.

FRAUDULENT PARTICIPATION IN THE TENDER - Penalties

The subscriber is responsible for the ownership and safekeeping of his or her race bib and acquires the right to use all the services mentioned in these regulations and subsequently communicated.

• a) Anyone who, without regular registration, takes part without a bib number, in addition to being held liable for damage to persons or property, including himself, will incur sporting sanctions under the jurisdiction of the federal bodies and may be liable to the criminal sanctions provided for the offence of "theft" (art. 624. penal code).
• b) Anyone who, without regular registration, takes part with a counterfeit bib number or in any case one that does not conform to the allocation, in addition to being liable as indicated above, will incur sporting sanctions and, moreover, may be liable to the criminal sanctions provided for the offence of "theft" (art. 624. criminal code), or, alternatively, the offence of "fraud" (art. 640 criminal code).

In cases a) and b), participants may be liable to the penalties provided for the offence of "failure to comply with the provisions of the Authorities" (Article 650 of the Criminal Code). The aforementioned cases will only be found after verification of photographic and/or video documentation.

FINAL WARNINGS
The Organising Committee reserves the right to amend these regulations at any time for reasons it deems appropriate for the better organisation of the competition, after having given notice to and obtained approval from the FIDAL.
For all matters not covered by these regulations, the technical statutory regulations of the FIDAL and the G.G.G. apply. Any changes to services, venues and times will be duly communicated to the registered athletes or will be posted on the event website: WWW.SANFRANCESCOMARATHON.IT
