The 10.2K San Francesco Marathon was also won by an entire city, also thanks to the benevolent weather that rewarded the race with warm sunshine, which took to the streets to cheer on the 260 athletes called to run the kilometres of road that physically and spiritually connected the Basilica of St. Francis in Assisi with that of Santa Maria degli Angeli.
