The third edition of the San Francesco Marathon will take place on Sunday, November 22, 2026, on the same course as the 2025 edition. The aim remains the same as always: to unite sport, friendship, and fraternity under Franciscan values. “I Bless You Life” is the message that will be shared during this internationally recognized event.
The appointment is set for Sunday, November 22, 2026, with the 42K road race.
Running involves not only the body but also the mind and the heart. Commitment, consistency, and discipline are some of the traits that define a runner’s lifestyle. Running also expresses a depth that engages the spiritual dimension, going beyond the physical aspect and stirring desire, joy, and passion.
This event will not only be a sporting event, but will try to unite running with solidarity. The registration fee will contribute to support some aid projects of the Diocese of Assisi and civil institutions in the area, especially for the most fragile.

BIB AND RACE BAG COLLECTION
The race bib is personal and may not be given away or exchanged. It must be attached to the chest with four pins in such a way that it is fully visible: it cannot be folded and must remain intact.
The chip will be placed on the back of the bib and must not be removed under any circumstances, on pain of exclusion from the classification.
Race bibs may be collected by team representatives or individual athletes at the Expo Village on Friday, November 20, from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm, and on Saturday, November 21, from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm.
Only for participants residing outside the region will it be possible to collect the race bib on the morning of the race, until 8:15 am, at the start area.
The official regulations shall prevail.

The start will take place at 9.35 a.m. The start is scheduled in the city of Assisi, the finish is Santa Maria degli Angeli in front of the Sanctuary in Viale Patrono d'Italia. Athletes will be able to take free shuttles from Santa Maria degli Angeli (finish area and Lyrick parking area) to Porta Nuova. From here the athletes will be taken on a 1.4 km guided city route to the pre-start meeting point in Piazza Inferiore di San Francesco. Participants will be able to leave their rucksacks with the race package. (only grant allowed) in special red lorries located in the start area and will be found in the finish area.N.B. It is recommended in any case to park in Assisi (see Info-race) and then take the shuttle at the end of the race.

Please bring everything you will need during the run. On the route you will find a refreshment point every 5 kilometres. At the refreshment points, our staff will sort you between the various tables. Please do not stop except for the time strictly necessary to take the products, so as to avoid crowds.Services on arrival
Shortly after the finish line you will find the refreshment point with water, supplements, fruit to celebrate your achievement and the participation medal.Timekeeping
Race timing will be provided by Icron Professional Timing. The timing device (chip) will be disposable and attached to the race bib; sensors will record the actual time each athlete takes to complete the race. The microchips are personal and non-transferable. Times and rankings will be available in real time during the race on our website.
