The appointment is for Sunday, 5 November 2023 with the road race/walk non-competitive, a side event of the first marathon in the city of Assisi dedicated to St. Francis.
The Vieni con Me (Come with Me) is open to all and is designed for families, carers and those who wish to take part in a day of celebration and sport. The departure is always from the Basilica of St Francis of Assisi and the arrival is at the Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli.
The route runs between the primary route of the Franciscan itineraries, via the brick road connecting Assisi and Santa Maria. The road links the two greatest places of devotion of the Saint, uniting them in a single pilgrimage itinerary. On a route of probable Roman origin, this road already connected the town with the small chapel of the Porziuncola at the foot of the hill in the time of St Francis.
Come with Me involves not only the body but also the mind and heart. It is a run or a walk that also expresses a depth that involves the spiritual dimension, which goes beyond the physical aspect and moves desire, joy, passion.
This event will also not only be a sporting event, but will try to unite. Participation the race and solidarity. Registration will contribute to support a number of aid projects of the Diocese of Assisi and civil institutions in the area, especially for the most fragile.

The start will take place at approximately 9.00 a.m.
The exact time will be determined the day before the competition according to organisational and TV broadcasting requirements.
The start will follow that of the Marathon and the 10k.

Remembrance of the race
All participants of the NON COMPETITIVE San Francesco Marathon will be given a cotton jersey with the event logo as a souvenir of a special day.
